Hybrid Theatre

This hybrid facility is a first of its kind within the South African public health sector. The new facility builds on the legacy of Chris Barnard’s innovative technology for surgical procedures. Two new theatres with auxiliary spaces were designed to serve the patients, staff and students. The hybrid theatre design allows for both minimally invasive surgery and complex cardio-vascular procedures.
